The laboratory
1. As a first step, a special saw is used to cut the ring.
2. After measuring the desired diameter, a piece of gold is added to avoid weakening the ring's setting too much.
3. Next, the added piece of gold is soldered to the setting.
4. By measuring the obtained size again, the metal is hammered if necessary, both to even the surface and to slightly adjust the width.
5. The process then moves on to polishing with special, delicate brushes that do not remove gold from the ring. Subsequently, it will be cleaned and washed in an ultrasonic cleaner.
6. This results in a ring that has been resized, with no noticeable difference in the worked section. Moreover, having undergone polishing and washing, it will be completely restored and comparable to a newly produced ring.
